TECHNOMEBEL and the WORLD OF FURNITURE host over 450 global brands of furniture

The international  exhibitions to welcome professional audience from March 26th to 30th at Inter Expo Center 

More than 190 companies will participate in international exhibitions TEHNOMEBEL AND THE WORLD OF FURNITURE, to be held from March 26th to 30th in the six exhibition halls of Inter Expo Center. At over 14,500 sq.m, companies from Bulgaria, Austria, Germany, Greece, Italy, Poland, Romania, Turkey and Ukraine will exhibit more than 450 global brands of equipment and materials related to furniture, its manufacturing and design.

Hosted Buyers Program 2019 - three times more interest

This year the interest in the Hosted Buyers Program has increased three times; this forum will bring owners and executive directors of 47 companies from 19 countries in Europe and Asia. These include company representatives from Israel, Oman, Qatar, and Syria. This was announced by Ivaylo Todorov, Market Research Manager at the Bulgarian Chamber of Woodworking and Furniture Industry, the co-organiser together with Inter Expo Center of the only exhibitions of the furniture industry in the region. Via pre-planned business meetings, the Hosted Buyers Program enables foreign representatives to make the most of their visit. The program gives new opportunities to Bulgarian and foreign companies in networking, creating partnerships, realization of transactions and expansion of the activity.

This year, a number of Arab countries are showing enhanced interest. TECHNOMEBEL and THE WORLD OF FURNITURE have turned into a successful business platform and а gateway to the opportunities for work with European and Asian countries. Hosted Buyers Program participants are interested in products, furniture and materials offered by Bulgarian companies.

The Conceptual Talks Forum on Design – March 28th 

Along with the impressive products, services and opportunities that will be presented during the four exhibition days, the attendees will also enjoy the professional sideline program.

This first edition of the Conceptual Talks forum will touch upon contemporary concepts in interior design. Architects from the Netherlands and Italy will share their knowledge and visions. Jeroen Schipper, the leading Dutch architect from the world-renowned Orange Architects Studio will talk about "Conceptual Craftsmanship". Italian architect Emilia Giordani will also unfold her ideas and concepts. 

Stoyan Nachev, founder of Graphic Ground studio, will elaborate on "3D in interior design from the idea to the finished product". Trends for office furniture space will be the topic of architect Valentin Denkov from Funkt Studio; whereas the young visionaries from Design Lab, the first architecture and design lab in Bulgaria will focus on modern concepts in the residential and public interior. "Minimalism and sustainable practices. Green furniture in the interior" is in the focus of Designitsa studio. The Conceptual Talks feature Bulgarian design group CHERGA with the topic "Conversations about Design". Demonstrations of new machinery and technologies

TECHNOMEBEL AND THE WORLD OF FURNITURE are a platform for demonstration of new machinery and technologies for manufacturing of furniture for interior and design. This year, the industry offers a variety of new machines, robots to modernize manufacturing processes, new systems and work mechanisms, and various plate and board models needed to build quality furniture and modern furnishings.

Bulgarian Furniture of the Year

Visitors will also be able to see the products nominated in the "Bulgarian Furniture of the Year" contest in the exhibition halls and discover this year’s winners. Access to the exhibitions is with entrance tickets, invitations or preliminary online registration; free entrance on the last day.

Future professionals

A "Panorama of Bulgarian education" corner will be dedicated to future professionals of the furniture sector. The Knowledge Contest initiative targets university students and students from vocational high schools .The youngest can take part in a contest for children's drawings entitled "My favorite room".
