Road map of the building sector – ARCHITECTURAL & BUILDING WEEK

The international exhibition brought together over 7200 professionals

Four days. Companies - participants from two continents, an environment for sustainable business development and professional accompanying events dedicated to high technology, new materials, legislation and visions for the future. From 6th to 9th of March, all this has been offered by the professional platform made for the building sector - ARCHITECTURAL & BUILDING WEEK 2019.

The largest edition of the exhibition over a decade attracted direct participants from two continents - Europe and Asia. ARCHITECTURAL & BUILDING WEEK was jopined by companies from Bulgaria, Germany, Italy, England, Poland, China, Romania, Turkey, Iran.

With the realization of its new concept, the exhibition created a professional platform for more than 7,200 mostly business visitors. During the four exhibition days they exchanged information, contacts, ideas and experiences with the participants. Located in three halls, with a total exhibition space of ​​more than 8500 sq.m , ARCHITECTURAL & BUILDING WEEK offered the latest novelties in machinery, products and technologies for the construction sector. For the first time the forum was held together with WATER TECH EXPO and SECURITY EXPO. This has led to an unprecedented combination of topics related to construction, water management, energy and security.

Fine-tuning

Following the implementation of the new concept, the halls were divided into three sectors - according to the company areas of activity: Interior Finishing, Doors, Windows, Facades and Profiles, and Carcass and Exterior Finishing. "This step undoubtedly leads to refinement of selection and facilitates the businesses," commented some of the attendees. The focus was put on the potential of modern construction equipment and design, technology and tools, finishing, works,interior materials and technologies, modern vertical planning and landscape, and industrial construction. Virtual reality helping construction was among the highlights.

Many products had their Bulgarian premiere. Among them the a virtual reality system. There were also demonstations of air-purifying pain, digital construction tools, modern windows and roof constructions, construction equipment and innovative design solutions as well as architectural and exterior facade lighting. The attending public also noted the creativity in the construction of the company stands. A real park hs grown out in the halls of the exhibition centre , thanks to the installation "A walk in the park".

Four days of professional accompanying events

The exhibition had an extremely full and comprehensive accompanying program. "This certainly brings a lot of added value," commented the visitors. The numerous events highlighted the latest company products, high technology, visions for the future, and the legislative framework affecting construction.

There was an active presentation of major branch organizations. Since the very first day latest technologies and approaches have come "under the spotlights" - at a conference organized by the Chamber of Architects in Bulgaria (CAB). The attention of the professional group was attracted by the discussion, organized by the Bulgarian Association for Building Insulations (BAIS), for construction and fire safety. An unprecedented round table, initiated by CAB and CEID, brought together representatives of state institutions and sectoral bodies, putting the legislative framework on the agenda. At the same time, a number of company presentations and demonstrations were held, as the platform for green building - Green Constructor ,was presented by the Bulgarian Council for Sustainable Development.

The first edition of the HTB Conference, the forum for high tech and the future of construction, gathered visionaries on March 8th. In the course of one day leading names in the industry outlined an objective insight into the novelties in the processes, their influence and the opportunities they create. The last day of exhibition, March 9th, was a busy one. There were  general meetings of members held by the Chamber of Architects in Bulgaria and the Bulgarian Doors, Windows and Facades Association.

Undoubtedly, 2019 set a new beginning for an ARCHITECTURAL& BUILDING WEEK - an exhibition with a 19-year history. In line with the technologies of the 21st century, the intensive market trends and high expectations, the organizers announced the ways for development in 2020. "We will open a separate hall dedicated to innovation in building automation and smart management in the HVAC sector," they said. That is why we are looking forward to ARCHITECTURAL&BUILDING WEEK 2020, which will bring together the professional audience from 26th to 29th of February.
