The Bulgarian Meat Tradition Foundation will give its annual awards at Inter Expo Center
Raising nutrition literacy among children, presenting good practices and challenges to the modern world. These topics are among the main ones discussed at the fifth conference entitled "Access to Good Food" held on 24 October in Vitosha Hall at Inter Expo Center.
"The aim of the initiative is to create positive attitudes for our healthy eating," said Eng.Zhivka Georgieva, chairman of the Bulgarian Meat Tradition Foundation, who is the organizer of the event, during her solemn speech. This year, for the first time there was also held a week of access to good food. It included over 60 schools in the country and more than 20 kindergartens. "Good food is a prevention for health," said Eng.Georgieva.
"This initiative is extremely important. Because, thanks to it healthy eating habits are cultivated in the growing generation, "said Dr. Lyubomir Kulinski, Director “Healthcare, Animal protection and welfare and Animal Feed Control “ of the CM of the Bulgarian Food Safety Agency .
Good food awards
During the conference, the winners of the annual "Access to Good Food" award were awarded.
Chef Radi Stambolov , received an award for his overall contribution , and among the winners for youth entrepreneurship were Chef Tsvetomir Nikolov and Chef Georgi Boikovski. Prizes were also awarded to distinguished participants in the categories State Policy, Municipal Policy, Child Nutrition, Culinary Tourism, Public Image, Local Markets, School and Kindergarten.
