In front of an audience and a jury, as part of the Technomebel exhibition, from April 19 to 21, over 100 participants from 30 high schools demonstrate their skills

From April 19 to 21, Inter Expo Center becomes a meeting place for Bulgarian chefs and young foodies. Because the 14th edition of the National Culinary Cup of Bulgaria, organized by the Bulgarian Association of Professional Chefs and the Ministry of Education and Science, is taking place in Exhibition Hall 4. After in 2021 took place within the framework of the Wine & Spirits Show format, this year the prestigious competition takes place within the framework of the TECHNOMEBEL exhibition - the Bulgarian exhibition dedicated to the furniture and woodworking sectors.

What awaits participants and guests?

The prestigious jury of the National Culinary Cup of Bulgaria 2022, whose main partner METRO is once again involved at full speed, will test to the limit the capabilities of both proven and young chefs. And the participants, for their part, will surely charm the guests with their culinary creations. "The competition will be held and judged in strict compliance with the rules of the World Association of Culinary Guilds (WACS)," inform the organizers.

The competition includes six categories – Culinary Team of Bulgaria, Chef of Bulgaria, Pizza Championship, Cold Buffet, Pasta-individual category and Veal-individual category. The knowledge and techniques mastered by the participants will also be tested by the traditional Panorama for "Best Young Chef", "Best Young Baker - Pastry Chef", "Best Young Waiter" of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Science.

Although the competition started on April 19, it was officially launched on the first day of the TECHNOMEBEL exhibition - April 18. On the big stage of the Inter Expo Center, in front of the numerous participants and their supporters, the professional jury of the National Culinary Cup of Bulgaria 2022 was officially presented, in the company of the officials - Vanya Kastreva (Head of RUO Sofia - city) and Chef Ivan Manchev - one from the contemporary top chefs of Bulgaria.
