The event is taking place in three exhibition chambers at Inter Expo Center from 13 to 15 February

The 37th edition of VACATION & SPA EXPO began with the performance of Bulgarian folk dances enjoyed by the representatives of the tourism sector from Bulgaria and abroad. The International Tourism Forum was opened by the Bulgarian Minister of Tourism Nikolina Angelkova. The official ceremony was held in the presence of the manager of Inter Expo Center Ivaylo Ivanov and representatives of  various fields in the sector.
The organizer of VACATION & SPA EXPO is PRIM EXPO. The forum, which occupies three of the exhibitions halls at Inter Expo Center, is held under the auspices of the Ministry of Tourism. The event from 13 to 15 February will bring together representatives of many sectors in the tourist industry - tour operators, hotels, destinations, equipment.

Over 9.3 million foreign tourists in our country

"The exhibition allows representatives of the whole sector to be in one place, to exchange experiences, ideas and business contacts", the Minister Nikolina Angelkova emphasized in her speech. She thanked the representatives of the industry for creating conditions for Bulgaria to be a preferred tourist destination. Minister Angelkova noted that in 2019, over 9.3 million foreign tourists have visited Bulgaria. 27 million  registered accommodations have been reported too.

There is also an increase in the number of Bulgarians who choose to have their holidays in Bulgaria. Minister Nikolina Anglekova outlined the key priorities for 2020, among which were promotional campaigns of domestic tourism and promotional campaigns for foreigners to visit Bulgaria.

New entrants

More than 60 destinations will be presented within three days – municipalities and regions from Bulgaria, Serbia, Macedonia, Turkey, Greece, etc.  Bursa municipality, Turkey, is an official partner of the exhibition.

The new entrants will be more than 40. For the first time we will be able to meet companies from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kenya and France. This will be the second edition in a raw,  that will draw out attention to the specialized area MEDICAL/SPA & SPA CORNER, focusing on the destinations and opportunities for medical, SPA and wellness tourism.

The accompanying program and "Hunting for vacations"

The accompanying program will be rich. During the VACATION & SPA EXPO the seventh annual meeting of the National Tourism Board will be held. On February 14 the event will bring forward the place of Bulgaria on the world tourist map as a key accent

In addition, the best optons for charter programs to Turkey, Greece, Egypt and Morocco, B2B reservation system for tourist services and others will be presented. The company presentations will be numerous.  The Association of Bulgarian Black Sea municipalities and Bulgarian hotel and Restaurant Association will hold their business meetings, and the contracts for travel packages will be discussed by the Bulgarian Association of Travel agencies.

The last exhibition day, February 15, will offer a lot of surprises to the visitors. On the day announced as  "Hunting for vacations", visitors will be able to join in a variety of games related to travel offers and desired destinations.
