From October 20 to 23, Sofia will host the first specialized exhibition for drones and unmanned vehicles in the Balkans. INTER DRONE EXPO is under the patronage of the Bulgarian President Rumen Radev. The exhibition turns Bulgaria into a pioneer for the region and is jointly organized by Inter Expo Center and Consortium International Drone Exhibition.
"I am confident that the INTER DRONE EXPO will provoke the interest of the general audience, business, the state and the administration in drones and their implementation", were the words of the President Rumen Radev, whose congratulatory address was read on the stage of the Exhibition Hall 2 in the Inter Expo Center.
The head of state expressed confidence that INTER DRONE EXPO will become a tradition, and Bulgaria, with sufficient focus of efforts, has the prospect of taking its rightful place in the high technology sector.
New project, new opportunities
From the stage, Nikolay Naydenov, Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications, congratulated the organizers for the realization of the exhibition. "The Ministry of Transport and Communications is a trusted partner of innovation and business," he said.
"INTER DRONE EXPO is a completely new project. We thank our partners and the leading participants who filled the exhibition areas", said the manager of Inter Expo Center, Ivaylo Ivanov, from the rostrum. He also expressed his satisfaction with the rich and multi-directional accompanying program, among the events of which are the International Expert Drone Forum, the International Drone Competition, the BFAMS Republican Championship for on-road and off-road car models, etc.
At the end of his speech, Ivaylo Ivanov invited Stefania Arsova to the stage. The blogger symbolically made the first drone flight at the exhibition, controlling the machine with the Samsung Galaxy Fold Z 4.
Anton Puliyski, CEO & Community Manager of Drone ARENA, which is one of the main partners of the INTER DRONE EXPO exhibition and with whose joint efforts many of the events are organized, took to the stage. "I believe that all this will be just the beginning", he shared and expressed confidence that the foundations are being laid for a format that will become a tradition.
From the stage, Prof. Dimo Zafirov, a member of the Institute for Space Research and Technologies at the BAS, expressed his sincere joy at the realization of the INTER DRONE EXPO format. And he added that "the production of unmanned aerial vehicles has never stopped in Bulgaria".
Robert Khachatryan, Minister of High-tech Industry of Armenia, also took part in the official unveiling.
INTER DRONE EXPO doors are open from October 20 to 23 as follows:
October 20-22, 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
October 23, 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
